Safety Center
In an emergency, call 911. ShiftApron does not provide emergency response.
Avoid scams
- Never pay a fee to get a shift. Legitimate restaurants never ask for "registration", "training", or "equipment" deposits.
- Never share your Social Security number, photos of identity documents, or bank login through chat.
- Be cautious of anyone who wants to move the conversation off-platform immediately.
Before you work a shift
- Confirm the restaurant name, work address, schedule, pay rate, and who exactly is employing you.
- California minimum wage laws apply — a post below minimum wage violates our guidelines. Report it.
- Meet at the business address. Tell someone where you're going for a first shift.
Report problems
Use the Report button on any job, profile, or message. Reports of scams, harassment, or safety risks are prioritized. You can also block any user to stop all contact.
